Ways to Support the Perkins Pond Protective Association

  • Annual membership dues are $50.00 per household due each January. Membership is valid from January to December each calendar year.

    As a member of the Perkins Pond Protective Association, you:

    • Support the preservation and protection of Perkins Pond.

    • Enable the PPPA to actively monitor the pond and its watershed to ensure its health today and for future generations.

    • Collaborate with neighbors, friends, local and federal organizations to further the mission of the PPPA.

    • Receive updates and stay informed regarding the pond and watershed status, the Association’s work, learning opportunities and community events.

    • Protect your property’s value (waterfront and watershed values have a direct correlation with the health and water quality of Perkins Pond).

    • Have a voice and vote on ongoing and future efforts.

    • Leverage our ability to obtain future grants from NHDES, EPA and private sources.

  • By expanding your market outreach to the community, increasing exposure to customers who are frequently looking for trusted service providers and demonstrating your commitment to the Perkins Pond and Sunapee communities, you are continuing to build your business and support efforts to improve the water quality of Perkins Pond.

    You will be recognized as a supporter of the PPPA by:

    • Your business logo will be prominently displayed on perkinspond.org with a link to your website

    • Your business will be mentioned in our semi-annual Perkins Ponder newsletter

    • We will include business supporter information in our Welcome packet to newcomers to the Perkins Pond community

    • Your business will receive recognition on our community Facebook page

    • Your business will be featured on a poster during our semi-annual meetings and at the Perkins Pond boat launch

    • Your business will be provided year-round visibility and engagement with the PPPA community

    The cost for a Business Supporter is $100 per calendar year, providing constant visibility and engagement throughout the year.

  • Provide valuable, flexible funds to be used in support of the PPPA’s mission. Choose to provide support via one of the following:

    • Memorial Gift: Make a donation in memory or in honor of a loved one.

    • End of Year - Holiday: When planning your annual donations, consider making a donation to the Perkins Pond Protective Association.

    • Campaign - Watershed Study: Donations to this fund will help fund watershed protective efforts identified by the study currently underway.

Membership dues may be paid via credit card, PayPal, or check. Checks are payable to Perkins Pond Protective Association and can be mailed to:

If you are unsure if you have paid dues, you can reach out to the PPPA Treasurer.

If using PayPal, direct payment to treasurer@perkinspond.org. Consider a $52 payment to cover the 4% fee. This will ensure that the full $50 (after the fee) will go to the PPPA.

Key Accomplishments and Activities of the PPPA:

  • Advocated for and completed the Sewer Installation project for all properties on the lake. Implemented in 2014.

  • Helped to pass Town of Sunapee Warrant Article #17 in 2024 securing a $100,000 State grant to conduct a Watershed Management Study and Plan (to be completed by 2026).

  • Continuous water quality monitoring through our Weed Watchers program and water testing.

  • Facilitated increased participation in the NH LakesSmart initiative.

  • Advocacy work with the State of NH Environmental Services.

  • Ongoing education of members and friends through special guests and speakers at PPPA’s semi-annual meetings (May and September)
